Public Awareness

The NLDHA has made it a prime objective to raise public awareness of dental hygiene and highlight our profession throughout the province.  To accomplish this objective, a committee of dedicated members will need to be established to facilitate this end.

The committee is responsible for:

  • communicating among members the need for regular community involvement;
  • developing a resource base of ideas for special events, clinical, community and school involvement;
  • gathering resources for hygienists who would want to conduct campaigns within awareness and/or dental hygiene;
  • finding creative ways to elevate the profession among the public; and
  • fostering the need for community involvement among fellow members.
